Mixed Branes Interaction in Compact Spacetime
We present a general description of two mixed branes interactions. For this we consider two mixed branes with dimensions p1 and p2, in external field Bμν and arbitrary gauge fields A (1) α1 and A (2) α2 on the world volume of them, in spacetime in which some of its directions are compactified on circles with different radii. Some examples are considered to clear these general interactions. Fina...
متن کاملMixed-branes at Angle in Compact Spacetime
In this paper we obtain the boundary state of a one dimensional mixed brane which makes angle with X 1-direction, in spacetime in which some of its directions are compactified on tori. Then we use of this boundary state for computing the interaction of two angled m 1-branes. Also we study the massless states contribution on this interaction.
متن کاملStar Formation in Las Campanas Compact Groups
Compact groups (CGs) of galaxies offer an exceptional laboratory for the study of dense galaxian environments — where interactions, tidally induced activity, and mergers are expected to be at their highest rate of occurrence. Here, we present first results from a new catalogue of compact groups, one based upon the Las Campanas Redshift Survey (LCRS). Using the equivalent width of [O II] λ 3727,...
متن کاملOn Properties Characterizing Pseudo- Compact Spaces
Completely regular pseudo-compact spaces have been characterized in several ways. E. Hewitt [6, pp. 68-70] has given one characterization in terms of the Stone-Cech compactification and another in terms of the zero sets of continuous functions. J. Colmez [2; no proofs included] and I. Glicksberg [4] have obtained characterizations by means of a convergence property for sequences of continuous f...
